Coinstar and Overstock.com Team up to Offer Free Coin Counting in Time for the Holidays
Online Retailer Latest to Join Coinstar(R) Coin to Card(TM) ProgramBELLEVUE, Wash. & SALT LAKE CITY, Dec 01, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) and Overstock.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSTK) today
announced Overstock.com as the latest addition to the Coinstar Coin to
Card program. Consumers pay no coin-counting fee when converting their
loose change to a variety of nationally-branded gift cards and
eCertificates at Coinstar Centers(R) across the United States. The
Overstock.com eCertificate is available on approximately 10,000 Coinstar
Centers across the U.S.

To receive free coin counting, consumers simply deposit their coins into
the Coinstar Center, the coin is then counted, and the full value is
applied to the eCertificate. The eCertificate is dispensed directly from
the machine and can be used immediately at Overstock.com.
