BBC Children in Need raises vast amounts of money with the simple mission to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Their vision is a society where each and every child and young person is supported to realise their potential.
Throughout the month of November shoppers can donate their spare change to BBC Children in Need via the super-market based Coinstar machines. As in previous years Coinstar will play an active role leading up to the live appeal, with two machines stationed at BBC Television Centre making it even easier for BBC staff and members of the public to donate.
This year’s appeal will take place on Friday 16 November 2007 and for every penny donated, a penny will go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
